I second Evan’s comment on elevating the monorail but all in all I think the set up was great. I think in places like the Trolley Museum you guys don’t get enough space and things get cluttered which makes everything too hard to digest and take in as a viewer but at PBF it just seemed to work really well. I liked the transition all the way around the tables.
One cool thing I liked that was different and unique was the forest that this one group was building and presenting with those large trees. They pretty much had the set-up complete but were building bits here and there throughout the day. I think that would be cool for us to do in the future if we could have something built 80% and could build the rest during the day. That way kids could see something being built in the moment and ask questions about it as we are working on it in front of them. In the architecture field one of the new big things is time lapsing an entire construction project and this would be a live time lapse that viewers could interact with. Just a thought…
I also agree that the bathrooms and overpriced vendors were noticeably ridiculous. I did like the megaphone guy out front though. Pointless yet a very cheerful personality. All in all though, a really great show and I’m glad I was able to make it.
