It was a Mercury Sable, basically the same as a Ford Taurus; I think it was a ’94 and we bought it in ’96.
I also had a franchise jeweler switch the diamond on an engagement ring for a much lower quality one. The average person has no idea how to grade a diamond. Anyway, I found that out years later that It had been switched when I got it appraised. In that case, the regional manager gave me a voucher to have the original quality stone restored.
