I’m not comfortable with cutting LEGO pieces, and I don’t think letting kids tear them or wear them out is any better. If a tube that looks the same (and isn’t from a clone brand) is enough to avoid having to ruin LEGO pieces, I’ll take it.
Yeah, we’re not really quite as strict as we act, especially if there’s a good reason like this.
