The engine swings out id say about 4 to five studs when he uses it on my layout, its the new logging train because he takes out all my trees… Keep in mind that its also a 8 wide system not the typical 6 wide from LEGO. Still awesome!

Yup, for sure. And I saw Mac from DelVaLUG posting on facebook recently about 48 stud long trains bottoming out on uneven tables, etc. – something else to watch out for. That said, this could be really cool if we plan for it.
Interesting, I never thought about that too much because my layout is really flat, but I’ll definitely put it on a grade and see how far it goes. I should probably order the drive rods, running gear, and one more train motor for the tender.
