Our school library threw one of those away (in wood) last year. I saw it in the bottom of dumpster with 8 foot high walls – it looked like it weighed at least 200 pounds and I knew there was NO WAY I’d be able to get it out.
The best way to get one would be to go to a library or school and ask if they had an old card catalog. Then offer to take it off their hands …
