Febrovery Day 21: the tank hauler.

This rover was actually started years ago when I first got these wheels. I had the suspension and central articulation working, but never got the cab or tank mounts working. After yesterday’s build I decided to try a similar cab. I think I’ll revisit this in the future, but for now, I like it.

@zaximillian the teardown of my Ice Planet rover will be posted this saturday.

Oh good, it’s good to see Frost is still alive and doing okay. It’s been more than 36 hours since his last Febrovery post on Flickr, and I am suffering from withdrawal. Day 23 has still not appeared 🙁

I’m also a fan of the tank hauler. I’m guessing that one’s a keeper for when we return to doing public displays.

Aren’t those wheels the ones that only came in the light bley version of the old UCS Imperial Star Destroyer? It couldn’t’ve been easy to obtain them, right now there’s only 15 lots worldwide on BL. (I have that set but I got it before the color change, so mine are old gray. Also, the set only comes with three wheels, so I’d have to build around that. Right now a new wheel would cost $35 in the USA, which isn’t happening.)

Thanks guys!

@bengood921 Those wheels are apparently from an old Star Destroyer. They’re actually parts I redeemed from the LUG when we were sorting support at Josh’s during a meeting years ago. This model actually started way back then, but I couldn’t get the cabin working with the rest of the build so I shelved it. That octagonal cockpit is actually another UCS piece so maybe this should be the UCS rover haha!
