I have been contacted by Juniper Village, an assisted living facility in Monroeville about the possibility of having a Lego build event for their residents. I took my train display there in February and ran trains for them for a couple hours and they were so appreciative and asked me to bring them back in September and November. I’m thinking we could take a couple of our builds for them to see and a couple bins of bulk bricks and let them do their own creations for a couple hours. This event would be on a week day and either in the afternoon or evening. Is there any interest in helping me brighten the day for these residents?
@thoga1109, depending on when it gets scheduled, I’d also be interested in helping out with this! Sounds like a good opportunity to pay it forward!!
OK we are booked for October 15 from 630 till 830. They estimate between 10 and 15 residents will be participating.
Gabe & Josie, Bob, Krista does this date work for you?Also works for me @thoga1109 and is on my calendar as well.
Sadly we have a standing commitment on Wednesday evenings (I should have mentioned it before, sorry), but it sounds like there’s a decent group!
Gabe, no worries, with only 10 to 15 residents I think Krisra, Bob, and I can handle it.
Maybe you can help at a future session.I didn’t jump on this earlier but since I live in Monroeville I would be happy to join for a future session, or if needed, for the October 15th session.
