Is 11th Hour open on Mondays? Most of the brewery-type places I investigated are closed on Monday.
Yeah, 11th Hour is closed Mondays so we’d be asking quite a lot of them…
Bulldog Pub comes to mind… but any bar type venue that has TVs is likely to have NBA & NHL playoffs on…
Criteria:
1) open at least until 10, food and drink served
2) will let us change the channel to fox
3) room for at least 20, probably more, doesn’t have to be private.

Cuz it’s one thing to say “hey can you change one or two TVs to XXXX?” and another to say “hey I know you have thirty-twelve people here watching the Sportsball game, but can you turn the sound off from that so we can listen to this other thing?”

That’s why I suggested Stinky’s. They have a dining room that can be cordoned off and a private room upstairs.
Other than a Pirates game that should be done by 9, the only other sportsball match could be an NBA game 7.

I had actually considered that. With my everything going on with my shoulder recovery, I’m not sure my care team is fully up for that.
Maybe we can watch it on the big screen outside PPG Paints Arena since Krista and Marcella are in the playoffs this year and the Penguins aren’t.
Would anyone like to hold this in Greenfield at my church? The address is 3929 Coleman St. I am working to see if either the basement (newly remodeled) or the main fellowship area are available.

Ok I just spoke to Dave and Busters at the waterfront – they said they would turn the TV’s to whatever we want and they have a lot of TV’s – we can stay for games after – you can order food and the waterfront pretty easy for everyone to get to.
What do you think of that?
I confirmed 20 at 7p at dave and busters waterfront. post in this thread if you’ll be bringing anyone else and I’ll track head counts. I was thinking 8p to make sure we could get orders, play some games, make sure TVs and viewing angles and seating arrangements are what we want, etc. I’d hate for us to show up at 7:45 and have to scramble.

Yeah, I specifically checked the other day because start time and run time of the show would of course affect our options, if a place closed at 9 for example. I know Fubo’s TV guide was showing it at 9. But now it’s 8. Subject to change, perhaps.
I have a phone call into Stinky’s. If I don’t hear anything tonight, I will swing by there tomorrow.

I also got mixed messages when I did a search for the start time on the internet, and the Fox website was not any help.

So, I am planning to come, but would point out that D&B’s is typically super loud and chaotic, what with all the arcade games and whatnot… do we think we’ll be able to hear the show, if we find a back corner somewhere…?
Are we getting an actual space/room to view this in? Or is this out amongst all the other D&B goers?
We booked tables in the dining room and they have that one area with the giant screens – and they said we can put it on whatever TVs we want. So we won’t be in the arcade section where it’s crazy loud.

Yeah, we’ll probably be ok… I’ll admit I’m not a D&B’s regular, probably only ever been there 2-3 times, so my knowledge of the layout isn’t great and my perception of how noisy is probably mostly recalling the arcade area. Plus, maybe they just won’t be crowded on a Monday night. Anyway, as long as we have sound on. Watching a sporting event without the sound is ok, but watching a show like LEGO Masters is not going to be a worthwhile experience if we can’t hear it. Like, are Krista and Marcella going to just say “oh, that was where Will said (insert terrible pun here)… oh and that time he said (another terrible pun)” over and over throughout the hour? 😉
