Hey all! LibraryCon 2025 at the CCBC Dome is happening on Saturday the 18th of October 2025 from 12-3PM.
Last year we had 2 8-foot tables and filled them pretty well with Library/Book/Interesting things. This year we will have 2 8-foot tables and at least 1 more 6-foot table to fill with all kinds of things. Some will be repeats but hopefully some new things as well.
Since it’s a comic-convention but also library based, we are looking for pretty much anything that fits anything that has any literature to it. So LOTR works, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Wicked, Video Games, etc, pretty much everything will fit.
Setup is in the morning prior to the start of the con but there is also potential to setup on Friday evening from what I’ve been told. I’ll find out more about that next week.
Last year was the LUG’s first time at the con and it was awesome! Hope to see more of you there this time!
August 15, 2025 at 11:36 pm #65616Sadly, I can’t make it this year 🙁
August 16, 2025 at 12:09 am #65617Unfortunately I cant commit to this. Sounds like a great time though! Looking forward to seeing pictures
August 17, 2025 at 4:26 pm #65653I can be there and bring the 3 Wookie’s and R2 the Grouch for sure. Possibly a 4th Star Wars build i’m working on that would be the attached image (WIP)

September 15, 2025 at 10:44 am #66009Hey all! Brick Erie was fantastic and now over so it’s time to get ready for LibraryCon 2025!
Again, it’s October 18th and there will be 3 8-foot tables to setup stuff at. Looking for anything comic, pop culture, reading, library related, etc to display.
Last year we had Barad-Dur, Hogwarts, some of the Lego books (Once Upon a Time, A Christmas Carol), Mario figures. Pictures at the link below, scroll down almost halfway. Let’s display more!!!
September 28, 2025 at 1:22 pm #66142Hey all!
Would like to have more people displaying for this if possible! I know it’s not a very long time to be displaying but it’s a great event and a lot of fun. The hope is as it increases in popularity, they will be able to work things out with CCBC for more time or, maybe find their own place to do it at.
Anything pop-culture, comic, movie, literature related.
If you can’t go yourself but would like to have something to show/display, let me know and we can work out a way for me to get it from you.
September 28, 2025 at 1:43 pm #66143@argonvesher, I have my MC Escher Relativity MOC, the HP Chomping Monster Book of Monsters (set #76499) and a smaller HP Potions book (green in the attached) all currently at Shaler Library (see picture). They’re scheduled to come out of there sometime this week so I can send them for this event if you think they’d be appropriate.
I can bring them with me to the Airport Open House #2 on October 11th to hand off to you.

September 29, 2025 at 10:34 pm #66157@tbrown00 I don’t know what all you have. Anything pop culture, comic, movie, literature related is fair game!
September 29, 2025 at 10:34 pm #66158@tbrown00 your big snake could be like the snake in Harry Potter…
September 29, 2025 at 10:58 pm #66161I think the big snake would have to wait for another year when I can attend. While the sections are relativly sturdy, if something breaks, it’s not going to be an easy fix.
I have groot and venomized groot for Marvel. Bastion from Overwatch, Galaga and the Tallneck if Video Games make the cut. Those are probably best for your theme that aren’t prone to breakage. You could also have chick a chick a boom boom. Kid’s book build. It’s prone to breakage but relativly simple build to fix when it does. Up to you.
September 29, 2025 at 11:39 pm #66163I’ll have a couple other kids books there so yeah, I’ll take all of those. I have the lil rat guy from Overwatch myself, I don’t think that’s Bastion.
September 30, 2025 at 11:57 am #66166Sounds good and no Bastion’s the guy that transforms from robot into gatling gun. The one you have is Wrecking Ball.
October 12, 2025 at 12:44 pm #66366Forgot to do this, but the event is listed!
Added @tbrown00 and @rcgrier3406 for display credits.

October 17, 2025 at 7:02 pm #66435@cw142d No we are in the Dome. If you come in the main doors (across from the library), you’ll go to your left and in and along the wall in front of you. You’ll see the Natural History Museum before our tables. I have a 6 foot table for you.
I’m planning to get there by 10AM to set things up.
I have attached the map for the event and parking, pretty easy to see and there will be signs as well! See you tomorrow!
