I just met with the staff at library in Penn Hills. They do have a room that we can use for quarterly meetings.
They also have 3 display cases that we are welcome to. One of them is called the casket. It doesn’t lock, but has a really heavy glass top.
I can go over again and get some pics.
She said we can get in the case the 2nd week of August. When we disassemble Shaler, I can take anything you might want to display in Hills. I will ask her how long we could stay in there.
One of the cases is very small in children’s section. I did get a pic of that one – attached.

I’m down! As we do library displays that we expect to repeat we could drop dimensions on this thread so we have them for future reference.

I heard back from the Library today – here are the dimensions:
It is 1 and ½ feet deep, 4 feet 10 inches high display area, with 4 glass shelves and 3 feet 5 inches across.
I’ll also post this in the other thread.
She will let me know the date we can install.
Hello – @kacierno – we are going to be moving the book MOC’s from Shaler to Penn Hills. If you have something similar we would love to have!
INSTALLATION UPDATE:
Got word from the Librarian today that we can install on Aug 1st. Which is perfect, considering the tear down at Shaler the night before. I told her I could be there around 5:30pm.She said we can have the case until the end of Oct! She is very excited to have us.

Thanks everyone! I was there yesterday and got to see some of the kids, they are LOVING the display. I was taking the Encanto house for the tiny display case in the children’s section. Of course the first question, can I have that? 🙂 They loved it. When the library finds the key for that case lol, Keri and I will go back over and add to that case.
We have these cases until the end of October. A nice run.
Hopefully, we can plan more with them in the future.

Hello – heard from the Library today. They confused the dates and need us to clear the display Oct 1-2nd. Can anyone come those days?
I’m working on the date for the winter display and will let you know.
I have a lot of the boxes, so I will plan to be there on the 2nd. – I am out of town until then. I will be able to go over after work on the 2nd.

Hmm. Can someone who’s doing Brickfest live grab my stuff and just bring it there? I was hoping to display the iguana there anyways so this works. In a pinch I can run out earlier during one of those two days to grab my stuff but since it’s already there in Monroeville.
