On Saturday July 19 and Sunday July 20, 2025, I was invited by former Westinghouse colleagues to join them at the outreach table for the American Nuclear Society, Pittsburgh Section. The table was located at the Darlington Road entrance to the Grand Prix grounds. I displayed my Westinghouse AP1000 reactor and cooling tower and wore my Steel City LUG shirt. Lots of people were drawn first to the LEGO build, and subsequently asked a lot of questions about nuclear energy and radiation. My ANS colleagues were all engineers from various areas of expertise so there was no question left unanswered.

Quite a few people sounded interested in the LUG and I handed out about 25 LUG business cards.

Very nice. I missed that display as I was at the show on Saturday, but I wasn’t at the Darlington road. It looks great.
