Participants: 29Total cups allotted (current signups): 0.0 GM everyone. As we start planning for Q2 – we are starting to look at dates, locations and a possible switch of day of the week.
1. Do you want to keep meeting dates on Saturdays or possibly look at a Sunday.
2. The Penn Hills Library is not open on Sundays – but they are open 10-5 on Saturdays. Would you prefer to have a morning meeting and be done by 12? Or start later – say 2 – 5?
3. Do you have a different location suggestion? Let us know.
4. In looking at dates – what works best for most – early, mid or late May?Let us know and we’ll get working on more details.
My availability in May is iffy at this point regardless of whether it’s a Sat or Sun, so just going to roll with whatever gets picked and see if I can make it happen. @joshhall maybe we start talking about Q3 now so we can lock in a location/date early and folks can plan for it/the church as availability?

yep, already on it.
I would for sure be more available for a Sunday than a Saturday. In terms of time, around noonish would be best for me but I am flexible between like noon and 4. Location I do not have a preference. That said, I know right off the bat that May 4th, and May 11th do not work for me.
- Jenny and I prefer Saturdays as we have church Sundays.
- Late morning (10pm or later) or afternoon is better
- No ideas
- May 24/25 are Memorial Day weekend so some may travel. Generally any weekend works for us
Any chance there might be a room to borrow at the Carnegie Libraries
in Sq Hill or next to Pitt/CMU ?I’d might crawl out of the computer screen and be able to attend in person. hehehehe 🙂
My experience would be that Pitt/CMU would likely require either paid parking (Sat) or walking a good distance to get to the room even with free Sunday Parking (I usually have to park over by Phipps and walk to Carnegie main on Sundays). Possibly both. For that reason I’d personally prefer to keep the meeting in the burbs were we don’t have to concern ourselves about parking. Rodef Shalom does rent space but it couldn’t be a Saturday (Shabbat) and the fees are probably more than we are willing to spend…but we do have a dedicated parking lot, an elevator for handicap accessibility and multiple different sized rooms that could be used (everything from a small classroom to a giant hall). If we really want to pursue having a meeting in that area, I could look more into it. For reference, it’s right across the street from where they filmed Mr Rogers. It’s literally a 5-6 min walk to get to CMU’s main campus. Bit longer to get to Pitt’s main campus.
Just talked to the librarian on Friday. She’s waiting for the head librarian to return from vacation before she can give us dates.
The Penn Hills library can offer us the A/B room all day on May 31st. It is the smaller room – holds 25
People.They are booked other weekends.
Would that date work for everyone and snag time? They close at 5.
If that doesn’t work – does anyone else have a location that is available?

I have her holding the space – as long as we think that the smaller room will work and the 31st works, I’ve asked her to hold 11-4.
