sorting desc or asc by date

because I care, there’s a drop down box at the top of each topic to change the sort order. defaults to the first being on top.

@joshhall on a related issue, would it be possible to have the List of Events be listed in order based on the event date rather than the event creation date? For example, the List of Events is currently showing as:

Q1 Business Meeting as the most recent event (Feb 8)
International Lego Day (Jan 26)
CSC Locomotion Weekend (Jan 17)
Delmont Boy Scout Event (Dec 16)
Lego Winter Store Display 2024 (Dec 2)

All of these appear before we get to the next actual event for the LUG which is 2025 Home and Garden (March 3). Just for your consideration as I know the programming can be quite time consuming. Thank you.
