I’m not going to tell everyone what to do with their internet privacy concerns, but I will say that usernames that do not reflect your actual name are both troublesome and burdensome.
Burdensome, in the form of when someone needs to give you cup credits. It’s very hard to match up username vs display name vs real name etc.
Troublesome in the form of us being a social club, specific to a localized geographic area with gatherings, and I get questions like “Hey, what’s xXEm0kIdD99Xx’s real name?” this isn’t aimed at any one person specifically, and I hope that I have credibility for those of you who know my sixf00t4 affinity. I’m saying we should be making it easier to be known and know each other. Don’t make getting to know who you are more trouble than someone wants.
My REQUEST is that you make your display name your full name, or at least include your real name.
Not going to enforce things, just wanted to say it so it’s been said because maybe it wasn’t a consideration when you signed up.
I agree with this as a newer member. Very easy to connect Bob on the forum to Bob in real life because of his display name. We have the same loose request on the discord server for the same reasons you said Josh.
All this to say, I would find this helpful if more people did it 🙂

Couldn’t find where to change User Name. Found where I could change everything else (password, display name, etc.) Would you post instructions?

Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner.
Select Edit Profile.
Scroll down to Name and enter your real name.
Click Save Changes
