I brought this up at Q3 and wanted to revive this thread. There seems to be a small amount of interest. If there is not enough for a large display, we can always adjust or downscale so we still have something.
The other option to consider is doing something inspired by the Rebel LUG Archipelago collaboration, which were essentially a bunch of floating islands. This would allow for a smaller amount of people to create a larger and more spaced out display.
Anyone have a lazy Susan or turntable I can borrow? Looking for five
*laughs nervously*
Got two buildings to finish and the front third of a space ship… if I finish the boathouse to go with your Great Hall I’ll be amazed as I haven’t started it yet… should probably get on that.
At risk of beating a dead horse here, there is no harm in registering each individual thing. I have a couple of MOCs within MOCs myself.
Has this discussion gone any further? Now that I am certainly attending, I’m open to helping to organize such a collaboration, should there be enough participation to make it worthwhile.
We can do whatever. I don’t mind having my boathouse separate from the rest of my things.
@argonvesher whatever works. I suppose at the end of the day it’s up to @bengood921. I guess my only concern is that I’ve got the two smaller tables.
Ah understood. @timf if you still plan on bringing your great hall I can just place the boathouse with you and have it separate from my things, or you, @argonvesher and Kristin can figure out how to rearrange yourselves.
@argonvesher you wondering about the spacing issue is more generous than mine… I just assumed ineptitude.
@argonvesher is the current map the one @bengood921sent out April 16th? I thought it had to be shrinked from there was my confusion.
I officially signed up and registered today. However, if searching by state I’d be signed under West Virginia. I hate to be a broken record and bother whoever’s job it is, but did we finalize table sizes? I went to register MOCs and realized I’m not sure how much space I am actually getting.
Did we ever finalize table set up? How much space do I get?
New MOC! It is the Milk Stand from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
I would certainly be down to assist but I would want more info and to see what I’m building/how much freedom I’ve got… if it’s customizable modules similar to NH I’m definitely interested, if I’m following instructions to a T less so.
Interesting… unfortunately I don’t think I am going to bring WWW to brickfair. It’s still extremely fragile and I am trying to have a more diverse showing this year. I think my Diagon Alley displays will be limited to the corner Ollivanders is on and Borgin and Burkes.

Seems to be working. Thank you!
For some reason it won’t let me post links to my Flickr.
Built one with a buddy for the Atlanta convention. Was really fun to do. 10/10 reccomend. I’d be down to do a New Pittsburgh if I can make it to the convention.
I probably will not be at the Q2 meeting since it’s a bit away for me. When and where is it?
I can look at ideas for the boathouse in a couple of weeks. I can probably do a staircase up if you want to leave a spot on the corner, similar to the recent sets.
Can I text you to discuss further, or is there another form of communication you’d prefer? Don’t want to blow up the forum as questions arise haha.
This is fine with me. I also have Star Wars buildings now, for what it’s worth.
I can coordinate with Tim separately for spacing if that’s what it comes to.
@Tim, did you still want to maybe collaborate a little bit and I build a boathouse?
I feel like themed areas should be first come first serve… or at least have some
Filter system to avoid repeats of the same thingsAre we able to send what you have to Todd before we all downsize? I feel like I speak for most that downsizing isn’t preferable, but can be done if this current set up isn’t acceptable.
This is what bothers me. Will Star Wars have to downsize? Do we really need 100 feet of gray buildings with clones around them?
Gripes aside, I can probably make do with ten feet. I’ll have a couple of repeated builds as I’ve built things around them. If push comes to shove I can probably do an eight foot table provided I’ve either got some space on one side, the corner, or both.
I may be able to downsize to an 8-foot table, especially provided someone is willing to cede a little space. I’ve been considering not bringing one of my buildings even though I have buildings on either side now. 12 feet was always a bit of a generous estimate, I can try to get a more exact measure this evening.
I suppose my only concern is that my fiancée has suddenly decided she may want to bring mosaics. I figured I would give her some of my space for that.
