š® thanks for the tip @greg! Looks like I better make a call.
@greg sounds good. I’ll bring my ghostbusters equipment also just in case š
Should be either July or August but I’ll let you know.
I am looking into conducting an energy audit of a church. Does @zbauer (or anyone else) know of a cost effective way to do this?
There is an āEnergy Doctorā in Westmoreland County who seems very experienced but also very expensive.
I’m intrigued @greg! I did a little bit of it in school. I could probably help out with everything that can be observed outside of a blower door test (the analysis part of materials, energy bills, etc.) then you could just hire someone to do a blower door test if needed to understand the air changes of the building.
I didn’t run an energy analysis on the Lego church I built but I imagine it would be poor since the entire back was left open to the elements!
Hi all,
I’ll be there Saturday for the whole [spectator] day. Hope to see some of you yinzers there!

They could be useful if you were doing an underground tunnel
word of advice Greg, give up while you’re ahead š @philmatt24
Nice work with the display guys! You all are killing it with the Pittsburgh themed MOCs.
P.S. Hope to meet the talented people on here I don’t know someday š
Coincidentally, this church is where I met @zbauer.
…And it all comes full circle. If I didn’t decide to crash that 8 year old Lego competition that Sunday morning with a 2’X3′ gothic Church that lit up inside, I would have never been introduced to to the famous Greg Schubert or this wonderful group of people!
Can’t wait to see pics of the display! #votelego
Wow, pretentious and entitled, spoken like a true New Yorker. Rub it in, why donācha?
So accurate it hurts haha
Put me down for $20 share of C3 though
I wonder if the exit of toys r us in our area will increase any potential for an official lego storeā¦
I have so many stores near me that I could probably just give you one š
I call it done.
I call it magnificent. I’m so happy it’s now in the world of public art. Smiles from ear to ear on my end. Nice work to everyone involved!
P.S. to Matt- FYI this is how you get a project done. You have an idea, then you execute it. Call me if you need more instructions on how to build a train tunnel š
Congrats on the award, Greg! Speech was great.
And the pergola looks amazing! Tell your son an architect said it looks beautiful š . Just what that otherwise awkward island in the parking lot needed.
Eventually Iāll post something over on the BFNJ17 thread, cause heās gonna do a similar display at that one and I talked to him about possibly joining in and Iāve done a couple test builds at my house despite being focused on other stuff for the time being. I donāt know if itāll convince at any space builders in our group to come to that one, but Iāll put something about it there anyway.
Yes I can confirm that Will is great to talk with. Ben, keep me posted on BFNJ2017. It was a great show last year and I’d love to go again with anyone from the burgh. And if you decide to go and need a place to stay, you’ve got free lodging in NYC.
Ok I give up lol

Here are some more.
Over in the trolley thread, Ben posted a town image by āsmart as a brickā in the NY/CT area. Another display that he posted is this UV moonbase layout.
The Main Author’s name is Will Smart. He’s a member of the NY LUG. His stuff is very impressive to even someone like me who couldn’t care less about space scenes.
Here are some images from our most recent miniature display.

Some of us have been angling for that invitation for five years…
It’s worth the wait.
I’m planning to stop by maker faire and could stop by your house afterwards just to help push it along a bit.
I can help finish it the evening of Saturday 10/15 if that works for Josh or anyone else. I’m so eager to see a photo of it at one of your displays!
Bring all your painted bricks!
Already on it!
You gonna be in town?!
I can be.
I’m in!
