I was at the Lego Store this AM to get a roller coaster and one of the guys that work there said he thought Pittsburgh is getting a Lego store @ Ross Park mall this year. Can anyone confirm this? I haven’t seen or heard anything about this yet.

I cannot confirm this. This is the first I have heard of it. I have pinged Lego customer service and will let you know what I hear.

Which Lego store were you at that they told you this?

Cleveland. I have an office there and I am usually there once a week.

He also said that there was a second Lego store opening on the eastern part of the state (PA).

Too bad it’s not in Cranberry – much easier to get to than Ross Park Mall. #CranberryiswhereitisatevenifthePensdidlosetotheCrapitals

As a Ross resident, I am super excited. I hope this is true. My anemic wallet does not.

Aren’t most of Ross Park stores pop-up stores? I was hoping for south hills village myself. They have a storefront on the lower level that looks exactly like the traditional Lego Store storefront

Bought my roller coaster last night in New Jersey and the store confirmed the unconfirmed rumor that they will get a new store in their district…possibly in Pittsburgh. So there you go. The rumor mill is till grinding.

That’s hilarious. I actually had that come to mind last week about what to do about that.

If they open a Pittsburgh store, we’d better be there in force for its premiere. At NO OTHER TIME will there be a more concentrated LEGO fan rush than at that moment. The reason? Other events we do are under another organization’s umbrella, even things like Brick Fest Live. The opening of a LEGO store is ALL about the bricks here in Pittsburgh.

Therefore, event uncoordinated, site unconfirmed and sight unseen, this is a ball coming down the middle of the plate on a full count, bottom of the ninth.

As an aside, can we make a suggestion for the fig produced for this store opening? It might be a good time to let TLG know that Pittsburgh is “sports casual”, or at least that a black shirt with white print and “bright light orange” sleeve cuff stripe and “bright light orange” pants would nail the Pittsburgh fig’s clothing. It is not too early to ask these questions.

YES. But to whom do we ask them?

These stores usually have a grand opening set. Looking forward to that. 🙂
