I have a stegosaurus at that scale. I will need to change out the base if it’s not going to be in a museum setting.
@timf When are you planning to be there with the table coverings?
I found an AirBNB about 10 minutes from the convention center for less than 90 per night. I don’t need much more than a bed and a shower so I wasn’t super picky.
Parking is free at the air museum in Chantilly after 4:00, the museum closes at 5:30.
If you have not been to the museum at Dulles/Chantilly yet and/or want to see Space Shuttle Discovery, go while you are there. It will be moving to Houston at some point in the semi-near future.

@cw142d Chuck has called dibs on the entire lot. We are supposed to meet up tomorrow.
I am officially now going to be interviewing Krista and Marcella with some pre-approved questions I and Kristin came up with about their experiences both on and off the show as well as some info about the way they build and what inspires them.
The plan is to start the stream at 7:15 and talk/discuss for about 20ish minutes maybe a lil longer depending. We will stream from one of the reserved tables that way as people come in they can fill in around and get ready for the premier.

I have a phone call into Stinky’s. If I don’t hear anything tonight, I will swing by there tomorrow.
I had actually considered that. With my everything going on with my shoulder recovery, I’m not sure my care team is fully up for that.
I was thinking further south since you are currently on injured reserve.

I assume we’d all be only interested if one of the criteria was “sound on for LEGO Masters”, right? Cuz it’s one thing to say “hey can you change one or two TVs to XXXX?” and another to say “hey I know you have thirty-twelve people here watching the Sportsball game, but can you turn the sound off from that so we can listen to this other thing?”
That’s why I suggested Stinky’s. They have a dining room that can be cordoned off and a private room upstairs.
Other than a Pirates game that should be done by 9, the only other sportsball match could be an NBA game 7.
If only we had someone with a big house whose kids were off school the next day…
I have hosted a birthday party at Stinky’s in Lawrenceville. I don’t know what the TV situation is in their upstairs private room, but their food is really good. If we don’t know how many people we will have, I’m sure we could just take over their dining area. I can’t imagine it would be all that busy on a Monday night.
It’s on the corner of Hatfield and 49th. Parking is decent in that area cuz it’s off the beaten path.
Sunken Bus Studios hosts events but I don’t know what something like our watch party would cost.
Is 11th Hour open on Mondays? Most of the brewery-type places I investigated are closed on Monday.
Will there be a watch party somewhere for those of us who no longer have cable??? I can bring the projector…
I’m going to try to make it there. Wednesday is an in-office day with a post-work event tacked on at the end. If I’m worn out after all that, a brewery probably isn’t the best place for me to be.
I plan to bring the Spider-Man mask that I will be converting to the symbiote/black version.

I will be there as soon as I can once Coop gets on the bus, probably around 7:30 or 7:45. I took a half-day off so I won’t need to rush out of there until 1ish.
I am bringing my almost-completed Disneyland Train Station. I can also bring the GB Firehouse if we will need it for the City section. It’s already on MILS plates.
