Bob, The LUG has 1pm till 2pm as the scheduled dock time for load in. We have till 5 to set up.
I am m iving the trains in at 10am but plan on sticking around to help set up.I would think with the kids being off school and many adults taking thus week off it will be very busy.
Just to go on record I am out that week, too many family obligations.finally figured out my schedule and signed up for Black Friday and the 3 Thursdays, sorry I can’t do more, extremely busy time of the year
Disappointing. I was talking with the gal in charge about changes to the floorplan necessary du to the return of a couple of longtime exhibitors who are returning after a several year absence. I was trying to expand my train layout but that isn’t possible this year. It ishoing to be a packed room.
thanks Nancy, I’ll keep that in mind for the next time, I think the 3 of us should be able to handle this time.
Gabe, no worries, with only 10 to 15 residents I think Krisra, Bob, and I can handle it.
Maybe you can help at a future session.Super, Thanks Bob
Awesome, thanks
OK we are booked for October 15 from 630 till 830. They estimate between 10 and 15 residents will be participating.
Gabe & Josie, Bob, Krista does this date work for you?Awesome, thanks, I should know the date by tomorrow.
I will be there with the trains all weekend but I should be able to help setup on Friday
Just wanted to thank everyone for all of the positive comments on my first endeavor at being part of a LUG display. It was nice to get away from my trains for a couple nights to staff the LUG area. Thank you all for making me feel welcome and allowing me to display along side of such awesome builds.
No worries, your main concern should be your dad. We will make it through tomorrow night.
A couple things about setup, this will be the 17th Home Show setting up my trains for me and we have always been able to stay till 4pm when they close the dock. Wednesday and Thursday are also 7am to 4 pm BUT you will not be able to drive into the hall on Thursday as they are setting up the final set of vendors and stages. Wednesday you can drive in but will have to park along the wall at the end of the hall. Hope this helps.
The show does not validate parking. Park at the stadium for $8 and ride the free shuttle, it runs from an hour b4 the show opens till 30 minutes after the show closes
The only document you need is the dock pass that Josh posted earlier. You will go up the ramp on the right of the dock entrance and tell them you are part of the Lego group setting up in Children’s Village area. They will send you to Ramp A which is at the end. Entering the hall keep to your right. Yes you can keep your car there as late as 4pm but as soon as you have emptied your vehicle they would like you to move it over against the wall so others a can load into their booths in the hall. There will be 2 trailers with the train group so it would be helpful to keep the area in front of the doors clear.
Pretty sure the stand with the jerky also has the bacon, I want to say the name is something like Michners Meats. You also need to hit the Streudel stand and the biscotti stand is fantastic!
Hi Bob, it was great seeing your awesome creations again. Thanks for blocking out a space for me, I really appreciate it!
I am almost finished with my Food Rirucl Day on the Park and would love to bring it to the Home Show if there is still room. I am building it on 2 of the large baseplstes so it measures
48 x 96 studs. I also have a collection of approx 30 Brickheadz. Mostly Disney and Star Wars if we need to fill more space.
I just signed up yo cover shifts on Monday and Thursday but I will be there everyday with my train display so I can always pop over in an emergency for a few minutes. Thanks Tim, my vision is to create something similar to the Arts Festival with a set of food stands and line of food trucks
Thanks John, looking forward to seeing you again.
Krista, Absolutely! This will be my 15th year at the Home Show. It all started with a small 4 x 6 circus display with a couple tents, animals and a train. This year I’m bringing back the circus, (slightly larger This time 🙂 ). See you there!
